Yiwei Gallery, founded by curator Yiwei Lu in Los Angeles in 2019, began as a house gallery. After two years of participating in art fairs and hosting pop-up exhibitions in LA, it found a permanent home in Venice Beach in 2021. The gallery focuses on showcasing the Asian diaspora and local Venice artists, aiming to connect cultures through art.
The gallery’s commitment to inclusivity and diversity is exemplified through ongoing exhibitions at its current Venice Beach venue and through collaborative endeavors with galleries, curators, art fairs, and institutions worldwide.

Yiwei Gallery was founded in by Chinese curator Yiwei Lu as a house gallery in Los Angeles, with the vision of offering more exposure for artists from Asia.
The gallery hosted several artist-in-residence programs, pop-up exhibitions, and actively participated in various art fairs. In February 2020, Yiwei Gallery made its first recognized art fair appearance at Photo LA, featuring a solo booth dedicated to the work of Chinese photographer Ye Wenlong.
In November, Yiwei Gallery established a permanent location at the heart of Venice Beach. The gallery now regularly hosts exhibitions that provide a platform for artists from diverse cultural backgrounds. Besides showcasing Asian diaspora artists, Yiwei Gallery is deeply committed to engaging with the Venice Beach art community, honoring its rich cultural and historical significance.
Over the past two years, Yiwei Gallery has been highly active in the art fair circuit, participating in notable fairs such as Photofairs New York, Intersect Palm Springs, San Francisco Art Fair, Future Fair New York, Spring Break Los Angeles, and Beijing Dangdai Art Fair. The gallery is also set to attend Intersect Aspen, Art 021 Shanghai, and Untitled Miami. Additionally, Yiwei Gallery collaborates with nonprofit art organizations and art festivals globally, including Casa Reigs in Italy and the Shenyang International Localized Art Festival.
In June, Yiwei Gallery expanded by opening a second location in Wuhan, China, a space spanning over 5,000 square feet. Yiwei Gallery remains deeply committed to bridging cultural exchanges through art.
Yiwei Lu is a curator, writer, and filmmaker based in Los Angeles. Born and raised in China, Lu's passion for the arts brought her to Los Angeles in 2014, where she studied film production at Loyola Marymount University before earning a master's degree in Visual Anthropology from the University of Southern California.

Lu's career in the art world began in 2019 when she started collaborating with international artists and curating exhibitions at art fairs. This experience led her to establish Yiwei Gallery, which started as pop-up exhibitions around Los Angeles until finding a permanent location in Venice Beach. Through her gallery, Lu aims to empower and elevate underrepresented voices, particularly female and diverse cultural artists.
French-born artist, Corinne Chaix, joined the Venice art community twenty years ago. In parallel with her own painting career, she has a passion for sharing and promoting the work of artists she loves. Chaix has organized multiple exhibitions in Venice with local artists such as Larry Bell, Ed Moses, Charles Hill. Corinne started showing

Kaizhou “Allegro” Yang is an artist and film producer with a BA degree in cinema studies from the USC School of Cinematic Arts. He is committed to empowering artists to bring their creative visions to life. Allegro has a passion for impactful artworks that concern sociopolitical issues, especially the Asian diaspora.
