C Art Festival
By its second edition, C Art Festival had grown into a larger and more international gathering. Held at Garden Ave in central Wuhan from May 1 to 5, 2025, the festival brought together more than 40 artists from eight countries, placing international practices in conversation with Wuhan’s local art scene.
More than 3,000 square metres (approximately 32,000 square feet) were used across a multi-level parking garage, unconventional commercial spaces and a contemporary art lab. Twenty-six parking bays were transformed by installations, video, photography and performance, while the raw structure of the former auto-repair complex remained visible throughout.
The programme extended beyond the exhibition spaces to include Booth Talks, roundtable discussions, live performances and spontaneous dance. Moving between art, conversation and everyday activity, visitors became part of a festival shaped by exchange, experimentation and unexpected encounters.
