Curated by Corinne Chaix, "The More You Look, The More You See" brings together artists Evan Maurer and Lhamo Yue Liu.
At Yiwei Gallery, we believe in nurturing connections among artists of diverse ages, genders, and origins. Evan Maurer and Lhamo Yue Liu, with their highly spiritual and investigative approach, exemplify the essence of this project.
While Evan explores European and American art, Surrealism, Native American Art, and African Art, Lhamo's work is influenced by Tibetan Buddhism.
Despite their different cultural explorations, they share a common belief—the interconnectedness of our world through spiritual energies.

About the Curator : Corinne Chaix
Corinne Chaix, a French-born artist, became a part of the vibrant Venice art community two decades ago. Alongside her own painting career, she possesses a deep passion for sharing and promoting the work of artists she admires. Chaix has curated numerous exhibitions in Venice, featuring esteemed local artists such as Larry Bell, Ed Moses, and Charles Hill.
Her affiliation with Yiwei Gallery began in 2021 as an exhibiting artist, transitioned to curator in 2022, and she has now become a partner of Yiwei Gallery in 2023.
As a curator, Corinne Chaix places a special emphasis on intergenerational projects to challenge prevailing ageism stereotypes. Her aim is to foster artistic dialogue and collaborations among artists of diverse ages, genders, and backgrounds. Given the multicultural nature of Los Angeles and the Asian connections of Yiwei Gallery, Corinne actively promotes cultural exchanges both within the local community and on a global scale.
