The space is jointly founded by Yiwei Gallery and 33 Project, located in Garden Ave Art District in Jianghan District, Wuhan, China.
Wuhan C-lab is an experimental contemporary art space based in Wuhan with a global vision. The exhibition room is over 400 square meters, with a focus on artists with cross-cultural backgrounds. We aim to bring audiences closer to art and artists, sharing a new lifestyle centered around art. This is not just a traditional white-box space; we are committed to expanding the possibilities for contemporary art, promoting the deep integration of art culture with urban life and brand building, with the ultimate goal of establishing Wuhan Contemporary Art Lab as a new cultural and artistic landmark in Wuhan.
The inaugural exhibition, "Tomorrow Unbounded" is embedded in the strong industrial and technological backgrounds of Wuhan and Los Angeles, including artists across generations, cultures, and mediums. The exhibition collectively presents humanity's exploration and reflection on the relationships between themselves, society, nature, and machinery at different stages of industrial development. The exhibition aims to break down binary classifications and unleash the limitless potential of the artists.

Charles Christopher Hill (born March 4, 1948, in Greensburg, Pennsylvania) is an American artist and printmaker. Hill lives and works in Los Angeles, California. He has been artist in residence at Cité International Des Arts, Paris, France, at Chateau de La Napoule, La Napoule, France and at Eklisia, Gümüslük, Turkey (1994).
In recent work, Hill has created paintings related to the sculptural works of Finish Fetish artist, Larry Bell [and Peter Alexander]. Hill paints bands across the canvas with perhaps fifty layers. He uses a full color palette with a final application of red or black; between each layer of paint he applies an acrylic varnish.
Clovis Schlumberger, a Franco-American artist, holds a master's degree from the prestigious Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris, France, and is based in Los Angeles and Paris. He is particularly interested in semiology and visual codes, exploring how languages are established. Inspired by Renaissance painting rules, Schlumberger experiments with the geometry of composition's impact on content perception.
His work reflects a struggle between escapism and the real world, often depicting figures in a digital desert. The enigmatic shapes in his art symbolize the tension between guidance and seduction, inviting viewers to project their desires and fears onto the ambiguous forms. Schlumberger's vibrant, pop art-inspired visuals explore the paradox of modern reliance on technology, using universal and inclusive representations.

Jesse’s work is predominantly oil-based, with long-haired female figures serving as the central motif. Drawing inspiration from both the imagined nocturnal world and the minutiae of everyday life, and intertwines these elements with her personal experiences. Her works employ a vivid color palette and interplay of light and show to convey a spectrum of emotions with specific contexts. Specializing in using composition to emphasize the significance of narrative storytelling, to create a sense of mystery or romance in their atmosphere.
