C Art Festival: A contemporary art festival bringing emerging artists into unconventional urban spaces in Wuhan, China

Developed by Yiwei Gallery, C Art Festival is an art festival rooted in a glocal approach, connecting local contexts with international perspectives. It focuses on dynamic, interactive experiences and community-based art practices. Through exhibitions, installations, performances, workshops, and public programs, the festival seeks to discover and support emerging contemporary artists while activating nontraditional urban and commercial spaces through large-scale, multidisciplinary events.

Co-presented by Yiwei Gallery and Wuhan Contemporary Art Lab, C Art Festival reimagines how contemporary art can enter everyday life in Wuhan, one of China’s growing art cities. By transforming spaces such as parking structures and commercial venues into temporary sites for art, the festival creates a platform where artists, audiences, and communities can meet. It also encourages international artistic dialogue and cultural exchange.
